Original Elwood Howell 1974 Abstract Painting – 5×5′

-Large-scale work by renowned contemporary artist Elwood Howell (b. 1933, American / New York). Abstracted landscape titled “Scat, Scat, Scat”, created circa 1974 or prior. Acrylic paint on stretched canvas. Edges are painted. Signed lower right. The back side is covered with a thin sheet of foam.
-Original sale documentation (dated December 3, 1974) included.
-Approximate dimensions: 60″ high, 60″ wide, 2″ deep.
-Excellent vintage condition except for a ~1-long break in the canvas in the upper left region (see photo). Not very visible given the nature of the work and could be repaired by a competent restorer. A few extraneous small brown spots which appear to be original. Some light surface blemishes particularly in the lower region. Cleaning or restoration has not been attempted by us.
-Colors: Gold / copper / bronze, yellow, orange, brown, green, blue, white.
